I find the greatest sense of accomplishment when my efforts result in something beautiful that brings happiness and joy to those I photograph.

I am always amazed by the emotion a portrait can produce.  It may be a simple gesture, how the light is captured, or an intense gaze in someone’s eyes.  For me, these are the moments that make the ordinary become extraordinary.

Much of my photography is done outdoors in natural light.  The four seasons of Michigan provide ever changing backdrops that give unique texture and dimension to each portrait.  We are lucky to live in a state where there are so many parks, lakes, and stunning architecture that afford interesting and beautiful backgrounds in all seasons.
